The Leisure Society – Album Teaser
The Leisure Society asked me to produce a short piece of video to tease a track from their new album. The track, ‘The Sober Scent of Paper’, was just asking for some paper animation.
Christmas Card 2012
I like the idea of sending out christmas cards but wanted to create something myself, rather than simply buying cards from a shop. This is the second card I’ve made, and it was created entirely in AfterEffects.
Introducing the Flipped Classroom
I’ve worked with MediaCore in the past, creating a documentary-style introductory video for their company. I was very happy when Stuart, the CEO of company asked me back to create this short animation, explaining the theory behind a new educational movement.
End of the Road Festival Trailer 2012
I work closely with End of the Road Festival, both on the festival itself, and as part of End of the Road Films with Simon Taffe. This was the festival trailer I created for 2012.
No Direction Home Festival Trailer 2012
No Direction Home was a new festival for 2012. Having no past imagery to draw upon, I set about finding a way of conveying a sense of what the festival might be like – all in pencil.
The Leisure Society – Dust on the Dancefloor
The Leisure Society approached me at End of the Road in 2011 and asked me to make this video for their track, ‘Dust on the Dancefloor’. It features my father, David Brett as the projectionist.
David Thomas Broughton – Joke
This was a very quick video. David Thomas Broughton was looking to create a music video for each track on his new album. I shot this with two actors, Ben Chamerlain and Georgina Christou in a day (with the help of Aidan Hornsby), and edited it in another.
The Low Anthem – Boeing 737
The Low Anthem asked us at End of the Road Films to create another video for them, this time in live action. Scotland, highwires, clowns and axes. Heaven. I wrote, directed and edited the video with Glenn Taunton and Simon Taffe.
Ferris Bueller – Recut Trailer
I wouldn’t usually include this as part of my ‘work’ were it not for the crazy reaction I got when this hit the internet. Over 500,000 views in under a week, and all for something lazily edited together on a Sunday afternoon…
Allo Darlin’ – My Heart is a Drummer
Video for London indie-pop group Allo Darlin. My second video working with End of the Road Films.
This went on to win ‘Video of the Week’ on BBC 6 Music. I shot, directed and edited the video, as well as building the instruments and other props.
The Arrival (2010)
5 second skit from the set of Charlie Atlantic’s ‘Dear Brother’.
Efterklang – I Was Playing Drums
Music video for Danish band Efterklang. My first time directing with End of the Road Films.
Low Anthem – Charlie Darwin (2009)
Stop motion music video. I worked on painting sets and compositing clean ups.
